How to Use Timer.Study

What is the Pomodoro Technique?
A time management method where you work in focused 25-minute sessions (called "pomodoros") followed by short breaks. After 4 pomodoros, take a longer break.
What are Playlists?
Playlists are pre-made session sequences that automatically progress through focus and break periods. Choose from options like Classic Pomodoro, Deep Work, Quick Sprint, and more. Toggle between "Quick Start" and "Playlists" above the timer.
What are the timer modes?
Focus 25 - Standard 25-minute focus session
Custom - Set your own duration in settings
Break - Short 5-minute break
Long Break - Longer 15-minute break after 4 focus sessions
How do tasks work?
Add tasks you want to work on. Click a task to make it your active focus. When you complete a Focus 25 or Custom session, the time is tracked on your active task.
What do the dots mean on tasks?
Each filled dot represents one completed pomodoro/focus session for that task. The time shown (e.g., "45m") is the total focus time spent.
Do I need to create tasks?
No! Tasks are optional. You can use Timer.Study as a simple timer without adding any tasks.
Keyboard shortcuts
Space - Start/Pause timer
R - Reset timer
How do notifications work?
Timer.Study can notify you when a timer completes. You'll hear a sound (can be toggled in settings) and receive a browser notification if permitted. Click "Start" to be prompted for notification permission.
Is my data saved?
Yes, everything is saved in your browser's local storage. Your tasks, settings, and stats persist between sessions. Stats reset daily at midnight.

Note: Clearing your browser data will erase all your Timer.Study data including tasks and settings.
